Charming characterful hotel, in a beautiful location. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food.

It’s a property I have been too 20 yrs ago it was a restaurant. It’s just refurbished and the staff were not empowered to change our room for one with view .as the bosses were not around

Teething problems of new furnished properties

We chose this hotel firstly because of the location - an exceptionally beautiful part of Scotland - and were very pleasantly surprised by the high standard set by the hotel and the restaurant. Our room was a good size with a lovely comfy bed and the ensuite included a walk-in shower. The staff were all lovely and the restaurant staff went out of their way to cope with my allergens. Breakfast was superb with the best scrambled eggs ever!

There wasn't anything we didn't like!

Everything was excellent. Staff were very friendly and welcoming; great breakfast and dinner; room was modern but in keeping with traditional style, good shower. We were very fortunate to have good weather and saw the beautiful surroundings in all its glory. Loved the whole atmosphere of the place. We will definitely be back.

No complaints at all.

The whole weekend was fabulous all staff amazing and in particular the chef Steve food in the evening and breakfast was amazing and loved he came out of the kitchen to speak to guests in the hotel restaurant.

The setting of the hotel combined with the standard of the rooms makes this a wonderfully beautiful place to stay. All staff cannot do enough for you and make you feel like home from home.

If we had to be picky, it was a bit warm but the following morning we discussed this with staff and the central system can be altered by them. Aside from that nothing! It was perfect!

Cosy little hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were very accommodating - I arrived pretty late and they went out of their way to keep the kitchen open and offer me dinner (which was delicious). My room was cosy and overall seemed good value for money. Breakfast was tasty too with a good range of options available.

It was late winter so perhaps quiet season but there didn't seem to be a reception area/ it wasn't clear where to check in/out so I just had to flag down staff when I saw them. I didn't mind this but it was just a bit confusing and would be an issue if you were in a rush. I was given milk for my room to make coffee in the morning but it had turned. Not a big deal but if it's going to be offered, worth checking it's still in date. Otherwise this place was fab, especially for the price
