Best Bedroom Next to JHU

The geographic location being what I needed was pretty much the only positive thing I could say about this stay. Literally that's it.

This place was atrociously disgusting and not advertised honestly in the listing. It was listed as a private room with a nice bathroom in the photos, but the pictured bathroom *did not exist* in the unit at all. The actual bathroom was filthy with thick dust, dirt, and hair everywhere AND was shared between 6 rooms! The paint on the door was scummy and peeling, there was no ventilation, mold/mildew in all the grout, etc. No tissues were provided, and all the toiletries were sloppy and unsanitary. There was literally a dish of bar soap with dirt and hair in it or nearly empty liquid soaps. The kitchen smelled like rotting garbage, the bathroom smelled like body odor and feet/vomit with no ventilation, and the entire placed absolutely *reeked* of marijuana. The cheap, thin bath towels I was given had absolutely NOT been laundered prior to being placed in my room and still had adhesive stickers from the store they were bought from. They had very obviously been sprayed with Febreze air freshener to smell 'fresh:' I know for certain because I recognize (and hate) the odor of that specific air freshener. They were so thin and small that they weren't even adequate for use as a bath towel. The bed smelled like BO as well, and I truly couldn't tell if the bedding had even been cleaned. Even better, the window A/C unit was *full of mold* so I woke up with a stuffy nose. This place is entirely disgusting and I can't believe I paid $90 a night for a room in an unsanitary boarding house where I felt unsafe. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This property is completely mis-advertised. It is not an apartment. You are booking one of six bedrooms in what is effectively a boarding house. The ad also says that there are en-suite rooms, but I saw no evidence of this. Plan on only have access to one of two shared bathrooms. The property is also advertised as non-smoking, but there were other guests who were chain smoking in their rooms. This made the entry way, all shared areas, and ultimately my room reek of stale cigarette smoke.
