Landhotel Der Buchenhof Bad Essen

The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety, and eggs made to order. We reached very late in the night and there was someone to welcome us and also suggest a nearby Greek restaurant for dinner. She made a reservation for us to ensure the restaurant was ready for us when we got there. We were staying only for one night, as a base before attending a meeting the next day and the hotel was perfect for this.

The room had no temperature control and only one very thick blanket was provided. Due to this, the sleep was disturbed as it was too cold to sleep without the blanket and I woke up sweating after a couple of hours under the blanket. Secondly, the basin in the bathroom is placed quite low which means anyone who is tall has to bend quite a bit or have water splashed on the floor.

Cozy accomodation in quiet location near to downtown of Bad Esssen. Large room with clean bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing breakfast with fresh made scrambled eggs and broad variety of different food.

Lifting up the luggage on several stairs can be tiresome and diffcult.
