Room was extra large and clean. Bedding was great shower too. Location in the middle of shops and restaurants.

Parking. Garage close but road is closed to cars part of the day.so drop off and pick up of bags a bit of an issue.

"Full of character but bring your ear plugs"

7.0

It had character coming from its history. Our particular room was very spacious

Our room, The Lord Nelson, was very noisy as it was on the street and the windows did not compensate. The room was also very hot and the staff member we spoke to was quite dismissive of being able to do anything about it

"Charming experience"

8.0

Great location, charming property - a touch creaky but part of the charm of the historical building, clean and spacious

Would have been helpful to have blackout blinds on the windows

"If you're going to spend just one night, go for it."

8.0

Located right on the High St. Very well appointed rooms. Comfortable bed . Large bathroom with 🛁 and 🚿.

The place is a maze and no maps are given how to get to your room. 🤷🏼‍♂️. My room required the use of another set of stairs to get to with only a tiny sign pointing to room numbers. Luckily I ran into a girl who escorted me to correct location. Room had a TV but no remote was in the room. Shop and cafe in the alleyway below open around 6 or 7 in the morning. So, don't plan to have a peaceful sleep after that.

"Perfect location. Friendly and helpful staff."

9.0

It is in a perfect location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was a little cold in my room and they provided a radiator and extra blanket. Coffee culture next door was the perfect breakfast stop.

My room was over the arch that people could walk through so it was loud at times. In the evening when people were leaving the bars. In the morning when the stores were opening up and setting out chairs.

"The 3 xAir Conditioning Units mounted outside of my window produced an unacceptable level of noise."

3.0

I had room 212. It was very large and spacious. The bathroom was also sizeable with a bath and shower.

Above my window bolted to the walls are 2 large aircon units that worked hard all day and night. There was another one lower down. I did complain to the receptionist but she said they were no other rooms available. She assured me that the units would shut down at 5 or 6pm. They didn't the drone continued all night in fact seem to get louder. You could even feel the vibration through the carpeted floor! The other point to note is that there is a loud and lively nightclub with the hotel. Luckily the persistent drone subdued most of the noise. I noted that other guests in neighbouring rooms had complained on booking.com.
