very kind owner and staff, always checking how everything is. offers to clean the room daily and change towels if need be. I love that instead of giving plastic bottles they offer to fill up downstairs and provide glass bottles if you don’t have your own. the room is large and comfortable and the breakfast was a winner! I didn’t need lunch because the lovely staff filled us up all the way. close to the beach & turtle beach, everything around walking distance. Gardens and pool were very clean and the pool was not heavily chlorinated which I appreciate! I could go on and on..

unfortunately it’s right on the train line, not their fault but it did wake my baby up most nights. if you’re sensitive this may not be ideal..

Everything was super nice. The bedroom was giant, the AC was working well and the breakfast was just the best we had in Sri Lanka! The owner was incredibly nice and made sure we were always super comfortable. We definitely recommend this place.

Everything was perfect.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond for us. We were given a drink and some cake on arrival and they took our bags to our room. The room was huge and very clean. The bed was very comfy and the room came with a sink/kitchenette area. We had a balcony which had a nice view and we could see the sea in the distance. The owner kindly gave us a lift to the station when we were leaving and helped us with our onward travel to Colombo. I’d definitely recommend staying at Hotel Finlanka!

the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were huge. They had so many different things for breakfast, you could eat as much as you wanted to! and it was very tasty!

they didn't do our room. The rooms could be a bit cleaner and maybe have nicer towels and bed sheets

This property was absolutely beautiful! Room view was spectacular and the hotel owner gave free upgrade room ocean facing and you could also overlook the entire property. Super clean and great amenities as well! It’s the perfect getaway if you want to just relax and chill. Near to Spa/Restaurants/Bars/ beach/Shisha/Surf lessons/pool The hospitality is top notch and you’ll feel so welcomed! ALL the staff are so kind, full of happiness and genuinely very helpful & nice. It was so nice being there. The food was also amazing at the property! Specially the breakfast and Special shout-out to the owner Mr. Sanjeewa, Pasindu, Lahiru, He made sure our stay expectations were met and also went the extra mile to arranged transportation for free of cost. Great stay and definitely a memorable one! Recommend it 10/10

Very nice small resort-like hotel in Hikkaduwa. What we liked: super large room with a balcony, clean, well equipped (e.g. large fridge), close to the beach and yet very calm, amazing breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, pool, quite resonably priced, diving centers are also super close as well as good placed to eat. We really liked our stay (5 nights), thank you for making us feel at home.

Definitely adds a bit of flavour to your stay as this location and the people here are extremely warm. I loved my 2 day stay here, especially because it’s located just a small walk away from the main road by the sea. The hotel was kind enough to also sort my laundry.

the breakfast is great, but only if you manage to wake up early. else you’d have to eat from some cold plates towards the end. the room gets really hot in the day time, so you will need to keep the A/C running even before you get into the room.
