Main Reef Guest House

Everything was absolutely awesome. The location with stunning view and breathtaking sunsets. Food and drinks in restaurant also perfect. I was so sad that I have to leave. Because of this stay and people I definitely need to visit this place again! Best snorkeling reef nearby, a lot of bars and restaurants… ❤️

We loved the place and hosts a lot. Accommodation was very convenient - right on the beach. And the food was exceptional, both dinner and breakfast. Actually, this was our pre-last day from the two-week journey around Sri Lanka and we had the best breakfast on the whole island! Family-run, very nice people and on a terrifically beautiful beach where we walked a lot :). We whole-heartedly recommend it!

It’s a lovely family run hotel. The room was not fancy but it was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. Everyone is friendly. There’s lots of loungers on the beach. The beach directly in front is too rough for swimming or snorkelling. It’d be perfect if you’re a surfer- but if you want to swim it’s a little bit of a walk past turtle beach to the swimming area. And then if you walk a bit further, there’s a beautiful reef to snorkel at. I think this was my favourite out of all the hotels that I stayed at in Sri Lanka.

Room is essential but perfectly fine for just few days. The best thing of this place is the position, just on the beach and between the two main surf spots.

Wifi wasn't working perfectly. If you're looking for a guest house with host making you breakfast or giving advices this is not the place: this is more like a regular hotel on the beach.

Lovely location beachfront and good restaurant downstairs. Staff very friendly.

Sadly the night we stayed the air conditioning didn’t work very well even after he staff looked at it. during the night it became very hot in room and due to the loud music from a nearby bar we couldn’t open the door.

Ocean view from the terrace on the first shoreline, kettle with tea and coffee in the room, nice company restaurant with delicious food. Everything is close to a supermarket, liquor store and souvenir market. Lots of seafood and fish on the menu. The delicious breakfasts.
