Nice quiet location, nice host. decent breakfast.

rooms were a bit dated but very clean and adequate for a short stay.

Breakfast was exceptional, with great, friendly service and many options. The Breakfast Room is very beautiful, too! A large helping of scrambled eggs, cooked to order? You got it!

we where very disappointed because there is no linkage between the picture we have seen on booking web site to the reality. the 4 rooms we have got where very old and "not very clean" to say the least the only thing i can tell that was good is that the owner agreed to cancel my reservation but due to the late hour of our arrivel we had no choice but to stay over the night

We had booked a triple room, a king bed and a single in a little annex separated from the main room by the very small bathroom. The room is very plain but surprise surprise it has a small fridge! The sliding door into the shower cubicle is a bit of a squeeze, not good for anyone on the large size. We ate dinner at the hotel, very simple but very cheap. But the breakfast was excellent and attentive service by Renate the manager. Easy to park but not as close to Munich Airport as I thought, about 20 minutes using the autobahn. Wifi connection is a bit intermittent at times. The beds were fine but the toweling sheet was a bit scratchy.

We booked a night at quite short notice with a "special request" that we would be arriving late as we were flying into Munich at 2100 hours and the check-in said that it closed before then. We arrived earlier than expected to find the hotel in total darkness and we couldnt get in. Tried to telephone but were just told that we were "too late". We have been charged for a "no show" which is incorrect and have been unable to negotiate a refund. The area is lovely and I am sure the hotel is fine if you can get into it, but, if you are flying to Munich, where there are now so many flight landing late from the Uk, then beware.

Driving to this hotel from the busy Nuremberg-Munich highway takes only five minutes, yet one is immediately transposed in a serene, village-like setting, an impression amplified by the friendly staff and ease of "check-in". Yet the hotel, by its "Gasthof" virtue, caters to the large crowds in the form of marriages, large tour companies, etc. and this can sometimes be felt in the style of their operations. The room maid bumped in the room twice way before check-out deadline, the second time even without knocking; the breakfast buffet is there, but carefully tailored to the number of guests. Still, the rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet, and I would perhaps stay here again due to the reasonable price/performance ratio.

We stayed at the hotel last week as a pitstop on our way from Sweden to the Austrian alps. The hotel is located quite close to A9 (roughly five minutes) and close to Munich. We parked just outside the hotel and check in went fast. The family rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. We had dinner at the Gasthof and eveything tasted very well. What a wiener schnitzel! The breakfast was generous, local and the service was perfect. We will surely stay here next year, when we hopefully head for the alps again.

We stayed here for a quick trip to Munich and would definitely come back! Very reasonably priced, friendly service, excellent cooking with local ingredients.Super breakfast buffet with their own meat products. A butchers shop is part of the building so you can buy some weisswurst to take home with you!
