Hotel-Gasthof-Kohlmeier

We wanted a place that was within 30 minutes of the airport and not expensive... this was it ! Very nice location in a small village.. a wine store across the street and a very friendly staff who spoke English well enough for our purpose. There is a butcher shop downstairs next to the restaurant where a very good breakfast was served. The room was very nice, large enough and clean and the price was very reasonable. Would stay again if flying out of Munich.

Doing some business in Kranzberg I choose to live nearby the place I was doing business so that I didn't need a taxi every morning. I was very positively surprised on the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness and quality of rooms. It didn't quite measure up to the normal business hotel standard (no elevator and a quite small tv) but my room (a single) was of a decent size and impeccable clean. The breakfast was also of a good quality. I love the fact that you're asked if you prefer coffee or tea and is then brought your very own coffee pot (ideal for a coffee junkie as me). +++ Good food, friendly staff, true bavarian gemütlichkeit, rooms give you value for money. - A bit uncentral, difficult to reach with public transport but near Münich Airport if you have your own car.
