Altes Kasino Hotel am See

When we arrived we loved the place, loved the location. The gentleman who greated us was so nice. Then we decided to have dinner there, played it safe and ordered carpaccio and schnitzel. Carpaccio was ok but not great, then the schnitzel was very disappointing. Not at all what you should expect in Germany. This is where they lost the 5-star. The room was nice with a seaview. But it is very eaay to hear all other guests. Room is warm and the linnen is sub par. Very good breakfast. Then they lost even the grading 3-star when the breakfast lady asked for additional.5 Euro after filling out thermos for our long drive ahead. I asked for a reciept but it was not possible. I am sure she just put the money in her pocket. So bad behavior after we paid for room, drinks and dinner they decided to loose two stars in rating over 5 Euro.

Our 2 night stay at Altes Kasino was very relaxing. The staff is very friendly and tried to help us with our special dietary needs (gluten free bread in breakfast!). The rooms were very cozy, clean and had amazing views of the lake. The hotel is very centrally located for wandering around the lake. Breakfast was very good, with lots of options. We also enjoyed the restaurant and the kind service.

We were actually driving around, lost, and hungry, and we spied the Altes Kasino. It was just dusk and we decided surely they would have a restaurant, let's go see. The food was amazing, and our server, Sasha, was so friendly and helpful. I would go back to Germany again just to spend a few days at this hotel enjoying the unsurpassed service, views, food and hotel. It was truly a highlight of our entire trip.

This family run hotel was clean, the bed comfortable, the breakfast delicious (not good if on a diet) and the staff very friendly. This is the second time I stayed there and would go again. The staff was forthcoming and very helpful in all requests. A quiet hotel even when there was ( I must say 'pre-warned') a birthday party, which we did not notice in the room. Our bathroom was lovely but would not suit a taller person. A small entrance room, two tables, three chairs, plenty of room, a mirrored wardrobe, TV and a comfortable large bed were all very pleasing. You don't get the UK service of coffee and tea in the room - it is a German style hotel. Soap/shampoo/shower-gel is provided and towels are changed when requested. Located right in front of the Ruppiner lake,it is perfect for a stroll along the lake, a short walk to the boats or the Fantane Therme as well as plenty of other eating places, local town and shops. Back again at the old casino. Been looking forward to it for a while. Recommend it to everyone who is visiting Neuruppin. All I can say is satisfied (zufrieden)! It was great to have the elderberry balsamico again. Good to be remember and I won't forget the black currant after dinner drink. Highly recommend it.

We were 4 people from Denmark on our way to Munich. We stopped in Neuruppin for lunch. Unfornately one of us became sick, and we other 3 have to stay in Neuruppin for almost a week. We found this nice Hotel near the lake. Staff and Owner were very nice and helpfull. Everything were satisfied and we are delighted to recommend this hotel for everybody. We will for sure come back again hopefully all 4 together.

Located about 4 km off the Auto Bahn, this is a great place to settle in for the night. Reasonable priced, great service and a nice clean room. We had a large corner room, with views of the lake and the town. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and tub. A shower curtain around the tub would be beneficial. The breakfast in the morning was typical, boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, bread and cereal. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was Ok. We both had the schnitzel with asparagus and parsley potatoes. Unfortunately it was drowning in butter, a bit too rich for our palate. All in all we were quite happy with the hotel.
