Hotel Gold´ne Krone

Wonderful location.

Expensive for the quality.

Very centrally located in the old town. Great restaurant with delicious Indian cuisine. Bike friendly with a secure rear garden area to lock up our bicycles. Very friendly hosts.

The cost. We paid €99 for our room which was extremely basic with just a bed, TV and wardrobe. No kettle or tea/coffee making facilities which is basically standard in all hotel rooms. We’ve stayed in a lot of hotels during our long term travels through Europe and have paid much less for a lot more. Also, the restaurant did not accept our visa card which we’ve used in all 20 countries we’ve visited during our 7 months on the road so I can’t understand why it was unable to be used here. Luckily we had some cash but then had to walk a good 10-15mins to the closest ATM. Best to make sure you have cash available if visiting this hotel.

The location…it was clean

Parking was confusing at first but ok after that..they should make a map to the parking lot.

Great views. Good food. Friendly people. In the heart of the old town. They had secure storage for our bicycles.

It was quite a trek to the nearest ATM.

I stayed one night and everything was good. The room is small but okay for the short term. The stuff is lovely, and beneficial.

Nice hotel right by the square. Warm and comfortable room and bathroom. Very nice and friendly staff. Good dinner in the restaurant. Big selection. Our bikes were safely in their backyard.
