I wanted somewhere quiet after 3 weeks of travel and poor weather. The welcome and stay met my requirements comfortable warm dry and very friendly. So much so I came back again. Great price great food and lovely quiet village

Unpretentious simple accommodations complimented with premium bedding and bath soaps. Hotel is warm and accommodating. Breakfast was magnificent. Staff were genuinely wonderful and friendly We would highly recommend this hotel.

Super location on the square of Tomintoul and next to the good pub (Glenavon Arms) and across from the eating (Richmond Hotel). Friendly lady at check-in, thank you. Pleasant room. Decent breakfast and the lady there, thank you.

This was on the whole, just a shame. Tatty. The Wi-Fi didn't work and I was unable to turn on the TV. Loo hard to flush. Threadbare, sums it up, or perhaps naff. Low-rent furnishings shabbily put in place. Naff paper table cloths. The whole hotel smelt of the Indian restaurant downstairs, strongly, as soon as you walked in. A shame, as at one time this would have been the grand hotel of the town.

Spacious. The hosts were friendly.

TV never worked Plumbing needs work. Noisy, unreliable, and the shower was pathetic. Probably the same plumbing from when the old place was built. Creaky floor boards. You could hear everything the neighbours were doing. My evening meal came out raw after waiting over an hour for it.

Tuneless music played in the restaurant at night. Was much better at breakfast

Initially wasn’t very warm, then we worked out how heaters worked and was fine

The toilet didn't flush, no body wash, noisy old fan in bathroom, the windows couldn't be opened in my room, the light was still on even the switch was off, stale air, u comfortable bed, no bath mat provided.
