Very kind owner who does his best to ensure clients satisfaction. If you love art, you should speak to him about it ! He is a passionate collector. The hotel is very clean and spacious. Breakfast could be a little bit better for a 5 star hotel, but still it was delicious. The pool was clean. The very best thing about this hotel is the view you get from your room. Amazing 🤩...

Even though the hotel is just an year old, you can already see some construction flaws. Our balcony sliding doors had like a centimeter gap between them so you could hear everything from outside (especially guests having breakfast from 7:30am) and mosquitos can have a free party at your room.. cables hanging from the ceiling is something everyone is used to in Sri Lanka, but for a 5 star hotel, I would expect more. We didn't like our pillows, but that is just our subjective thought. Also many big red ants are crawling all around the pool sunbeds. Our wifi was extremely slow and so unusable ( maybe problem of our room only, we didn't say anything to the reception, because we had unlimited data)

Beautiful stay! The staff are very welcoming and helpful with everything. Really good food and well furnished property with all required amenities. The owner and his wife are too good and very much helpful. Can enjoy a boat safari which is also worthwhile. Highly recommended.

It was just perfect! The villa and the environment is wonderful! Even nicer than on the picture! The family took care of every which we had and were super friendly! We recommend this place to everyone! Its much more nicer than the hotels on the beach, and very easy to reach by public Transport and TukTuk for the last meters. It was the nicest accommodation we had on our 3.5 week Sri Lanka trip and a perfect place to finish it :-)

Stunning views and amazing staff

With a stunning view, this property took my expectations to a new level! Located in a quiet area beside the lake, I enjoyed the peaceful and quiet surroundings! Modern but not landscape changing the Hotel is placed in the hill by the lake. Staff and owners are always there for you to help if anything is needed! Thx to all of them! 🙏🏻 At my next stay, I definitely will come again!

Like most of the time in Sri Lanka, you got to be prepared with Mosquito repellent. But that’s just nature and not a problem of the Hotel!

From the moment we arrived at this hidden gem until the last we were treated like royalty. Niroshwan, Lakshmi and all the staff were so nice, they went above and beyond to make our stay even more special. Their culinary skills were amazing and the taste and quality of the food was exceptional with many options to choose from. The room was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed from ensuite shower room, fresh linen, a safe and fridge to mention a few. The lake view from inside our room and balcony is breathtaking and Neroshwan was so kind to arrange a boat safari where we enjoyed observing the many local wildlife. We walked in to the town which was quite a pleasant 20 minute walk and were greeted along the way many times by the friendly locals, we felt very safe on route. The hotel wasn't overly expensive but still felt like we should be paying much more for the quality and service that we received. It was worth every rupee. I would strongly advise anyone travelling to Sri Lanka to consider travelling down the coast and stay at this beautiful resort, you will not be disappointed. We sincerely wish Niroswan, Lakshmi and family all of the luck in the future. We will not forget this place and have plenty of amazing photos and memories to look back on. We can't thank them enough for the happiness, their generocity and this whole wonderful experience.

Everything was perfect. Rooms are very spacious and the whole hotel is thoughtfully designed. Great hospitality. Delicious meals. Very scenic and serene environment.

Highly recommend Splendour Residence. We had a very warm welcome and the lovely couple and the support staff, Mohan made our stay very memorable. You must try their Sri Lankan spread - by far the best we've had! So much care and attention has gone into designing this property. The room was spacious and clean and was an exact replica of what was advertised on booking.com. Niroshan and Lakshmi made us feel at home throughout our stay. We definitely hope to be back soon! You will not regret this visit - Enjoy :)
