Antique Chiangmai

Lovely area of Chang Mai

The room was lovely, well-outfitted and with good aircon. The bathroom had a separate area for the shower and toilet, which is always a nice surprise in SEA. The location was good, an easy walk to the old town and Tha Phae Gate. I requested to change my room, and the second room was much quieter, which I appreciated. You still need earplugs, but I slept easily in the standard room, rather than the large double room which faces the street. The owner is sweet and accommodating, and though his English isn't the best, it's still easy to communicate with him. The overall building has a lovely minimalist feel to it, and is a calming space to be in.

My original room (the large double room) was BEAUTIFUL, but it faced the street and I'm quite sensitive to noise, so I requested to change. There wasn't a ton of traffic next to the hotel, but there's a site next to the hotel that was building something while I was staying there, so machinery and vehicles for that made noise at length. As is typical in SEA, there are roosters somewhere nearby that sound off regularly. Also every few days there was a local area announcement that lasted .5-1h, complete with music and someone talking at length; this was broadcast on the street. If you're going to be out and about during the day, or are a heavy sleeper, none of this will matter to you!

Quiet and clean, It is in the center of chiangmai old town.

My room is right in front of the building. Where is in the west. It is getting hot in the evening.
