"An excellent stay marred only by nocturnal roadworks outside."

The hotel, staff, facilities and meals were all excellent.

Unfortunately let down by very loud roadworks directly outside. Completely out of the control of hotel staff but meant that I was unable to get a good night's sleep.

The property’s history can be imagined and modern touches have enhanced this old coaching inn. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Cooked breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended to stay at.
