Family owned operation. Very obliging and accommodating. It was great.

I felt maybe price just a little high for what you get. The accomodation is still basic. No jug in room.

Good location, nice rooms, clean and big beds with AC and mosquito net.

We loved our stay at Surf Beach! The location is amazing, literally 30 seconds walk from the beach. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the people very friendly. It’s also great value for money

Deen and Faro are super nice. When ever we saw them they checked how we are, they did room service every second day and everything was super clean. Deen is also a surf teacher and took us to different spots where ever the conditions where best. We had a awesome stay here.

This place is the best budget hostel I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka — maybe even in the past years. I was only here for one night, but I got an amazing impression. The bed mattress in the dorm was the most comfortable I’ve ever had, even compared to much more expensive accommodations. Every detail in the room and throughout the whole place is thoughtfully designed. The room size, the common areas, and the bathroom are all optimally laid out. The mosquito net is perfect. There’s a small locker for your stuff — not too big, just the right size. The bathroom is super clean. Small details that aren’t always a given elsewhere: the water drains properly, the mirror and light switches are clean, there’s space for your towel and belongings. Everything is spotless. The staff is very friendly. There are power outlets next to the bed. All this at an amazing value — you could even say it’s cheap. I totally recommend this place to everyone.
