THURU VILLA

The location is very nice, with vegetation all around, we saw a few squirrels in the trees. It's run by the family who lives next door so it is practical if you need anything. It is in a small neighbourhood so very quiet but you can walk to shops nearby.

We only stayed the day as we were in transit so I didn't bother the owner with anything so I can't tell if it's usually like that. We didn't have hot water but managed to wash up fine. No aircon but the fans were good.

Bad smell room, very dirty bed sheet & blanket, not cleaned towels, no toilet rolls. No soap, body or hand wash

it is a cutely decorated hotel and for the price they made the most of it.

we did not get a blanked/lbed sheet for our bed and there was not wven toilet paper. Both of which should be standart things to have in a hotel room. the check out was also little unfriendly.

The shower was not working properly, , the water flow was very low.

We were a family with two young kids. Arrived in Sri Lanka on 18th December at midnight. The only thing we liked was the host was accommodating. We arrived at the place around 01.30 am and the host was awake to give me the keys. We were given the ground floor 2-bed apartment. I booked this as our flight landing was past midnight and didn't want to go to Colombo as it was too late. We thought to stay at Thuru Villa for the night and left the next day morning after breakfast.

Apart from the host being accommodative, we didn't like the most of it. 1. Beds were not made, pillows were smelling 2. Cobwebs were there, which indicates the apartment was not prepped before the guest's arrival. dust was everywhere and the floor was not cleaned. 3. Attached some of the tea cups were kept in the room. This will show clearly the room was not attended or cleaned. 4. The bathroom didn't have clothes hooks or towel hangers which made showers difficult. 5. The electric kettle was broken and the host replaced it in the morning when we requested. This also showed us we were given a room just for the heck of it. 6. Bed linens were not cleaned and smelling. 7. No air conditions or hot water available. this is my fault as well, coz I booked this in a hurry without paying much attention to it. Lesson learned well. to the host - Please make the stay pleasant to the guest be it one night or many. Just don't chase the money, but make sure the facility is properly cleaned before guests' arrival. We won't recommend this to anyone based on our experience. Pictures published in the advert were nice but the reality was a different one altogether.
