The bed was comfy and the staff were very pleasant and helpful, great English breakfast

Bedding not ironed and faded, chipped mugs, kettle needed replacing, had to ask for more coffee and milk, more attention needed in cleaning the room

The breakfast was the best part of the stay, freshly cooked and delivered by friendly staff, if only the rest of the stay had been that good, staff were friendly.

Where do I start with room 7? The TV remote did not work the TV, no batteries in the remote on arrival, the barman supplied more batteries but it still didn't work. The Velux window in the roof could not be opened and the room was stiflingly hot as it was 28 degrees that day. The barman also tried to remedy these 2 issues but to no avail. The shower tray was very slow to drain and then leaked flooding the bathroom floor on the 2 occasions I used it. The room door was not connected to the auto closing device, the door was also a very tight fit in the frame meaning you had to shoulder it shut, also tough to open. There was no other opening window in the room, this is a breach of fire safety regulations?, it was also more than 1100mm from the floor. The heat in the room meant that I was unable to get much sleep and the light flooding the room from the unshaded skylight at 0530 didn't help either. I actually contemplated driving over 100 miles home rather than stay in the room but I was too tired. Not a happy experience, all these issues were reported to the staff at the property as the landlord was not there.

The breakfast was exceptional value and served aplomb. All the staff made as feel very welcome and the locals were exceptionally friendly.

Yes the outside could be more attractive but it clear when monies have been spent. The public areas are of the highest order.

Comfortable bed.

Windows in room didnt open. There was only toileteries provided for one person. Shower was very slow to drain. We were not told about breakfast options when we checked in and in the morning we were told it has to be ordered the previous evening.

Great value, excellent food

Nothing really, apart from dogs very noisy.

It was in a handy location, easy parking, friendly staff and clean rooms/bathroom.

Our room was rather warm and no air flow but they did provide fans. My brother’s room was better as they had an opening window.
