Aunty is very kind and helpful. Location is central but also quiet. Price is competitive for your own room instead of sharing with others.

You get what you pay for. Room is very simple with basic faocilities.

Excellent location for travelling to/from the Caribbean as it is very close to the Caribenos Bus Terminal. Also, the hotel is within blocks of all the downtown attractions.

The hotel has a certain old-style charm, and the larger rooms on the 1st floor are sizeable and comfortable. The staff is attentive and pleasant and the location is very central.

There were too many unexpected problems. I had just come from the jungles of Peru, where I went without cold showers for three months. I was specifically looking forward to a hot shower once I got to Costa Rica, and even paid a little more for a bigger room with a shower en suite. Alas, the hot water wasn't working that night. Also, later that night the internet went out and was out for the duration of my stay. While I was moved to another room with hot water, the internet never came back on and I decided to move to another hotel.
