Very sweet and helpful lady at the reception. She helped us to move to a quieter room when we asked to be moved. And she gave us some recommendations for breakfast and places to visit. The place is an excellent value for money.

The location is amazing.

Unfortunately the rooms are right in front of the laundry machines and they start them early in the morning. There is no fan or ac so we had to keep the window open. The window is looking inside the building. So you get to hear everything. People going toilet, brushing their teeths, showering.. it is all inside the room. So we woke up early in the morning. There is no minibar in the room, so you cannot buy things and store… the bed was not comfortable at all. The final thing that frustrated me is that they did not allow us to use the bathroom in the common area after we check out. Our bus was at 2pm so after we check out we decided to sit in the couch for 1 hour and then leave. But while we were trying to use the bathroom, the lady said there are cameras and his boss is watching so we cannot use the bathroom. This is very sad. What harm you could get from a guest that already stayed 3 days in your hostal, using the bathroom one last time… Its better that people learn how to host..

The location was great. Restarunts on either side of the hotel, a bank on the corner and walking distance from a major park, attractions such as the Jade museum and historic sites. The hotel manager was great.

Ladies obviously living in one room at the end of the toilet corridor get up at 4am and make a tremendous amount of noise while they spend the next 1.5 hours getting ready for their day. Screaming, laughing and shouting 2 ft outside the rooms. Everything about this place is great for the price, except these women, so expect to be woken at 4am!

Only stayed one night, but it was just what we needed before our flight. Lots of rooms, but also lots of shared bathrooms/showers/sinks. Bed was comfortable, our room was quiet and had a window to the outside so we got fresh air. The woman who runs it, as everyone says, speaks no English but happily showed us our room and check-in/out was easy. Decent location, it's a short easy walk from one of the main bus terminals and downtown area. Strange place, but felt very safe and you can't beat the price!

No complaints for our room, but it looked like some of the other rooms only had windows to shared spaces inside the building (no window to outside) so might get stuffy or loud from other guests.

Nothing much. The room was rather dingy but the bed was comfortable. If you want to spend a night on a budget, this may not be a bad place but you can get something better by paying a few more dollars. The location is central, but beware of junkies in the neighbourhood (they usually aren't violent).

The room was quite dingy and rundown. My room was next to the toilet area. Thankfully, it didn't smell much there. Maybe because the hostel was a bit empty at that time. Shared toilets were rather clean. The owner, a cute grandma, doesn't speak any English so keep Google Translate handy
