Please note that the entire valley is car free and cars have to be left in Pontresina. Guest can reach the hotel by bike or on foot, as well as on cross-country or touring skis in winter season. On prior request, the hotel can also arrange a pick up by a horse carriage from the Pontresina train station. Contact details are stated in the booking confirmation. Also, a bus shuttle service from the Pontresina train station to the hotel is available on prior reservation at 10:30, 17:00 and 18:00.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. "Amazing location"

The location is absolutely stunning. We visited in winter, and unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to go trekking in the surrounding area, but we would love to come back in summer to fully enjoy it. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, and the staff is polite and welcoming. The restaurant is cozy and thoughtfully designed. The food was good, although not exceptional. It’s not the best value for money, but considering the overall experience, it’s acceptable. Portions are on the smaller side. I would highly recommend arranging a car transfer from the train station. The horse ride can be quite long and uncomfortable, especially in winter temperatures.

"Very nice hotel and experience"

It is a beautiful hotel in the middle of a valley. You are away from any civilization in a stunning area. The rooms were comfortable and the shared bathroom and toilet were clean and well looked after. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast spread was very nice.

It would have been great to have access to hot water in the evening to make a drink. The latest free shuttle service was 5pm which is more than fine but the basic amenity of a kettle would have made it a little more comfortable in the evening.
