Vista Turrialba Lodge

This is a rustic place full of nature. It's on the mountains, so it is a bit colder than Turrialba. But we loved that. The view is beautiful. We were able to see toucans and other really nice birds. The breakfast was delicious. We would certainly come back here again

The owner and staff were exceptional! If you are staying anywhere near Turrialba, you should give this hotel your business. We came for a friend’s wedding (someone who grew up in Costa Rica) and we all agreed that this was the best hotel we had stayed at in a long time. A delicious/all inclusive/unique/home cooked breakfast every day (you will not get that anywhere else!), a flexible and attentive owner and staff, an absolutely gorgeous property, and so many happy and friendly dogs and wildlife that you will fall in love with! The owner gave us a little tour of the property and brought us to the cattle barn to explain his work to us, and we had such an enjoyable time just walking around and talking with him. There is so much privacy, and the cabins are lovely. The service is wonderful, and we felt compelled to write honest and heartfelt reviews for this relatively new hotel because of how much fun and wonderful memories we had and made here. If you’re considering visiting Turrialba at any time of year, there is no need to stay in the city! Take a cheap 5 minute taxi and stay in this beautiful and affordable lodge- you will get a comfortable, more authentic experience, and you will be patronizing a local hotel that more than deserves to be booked solid for the entire year. We will come back to Vista Turrialba as soon as possible!! -Mostly to visit Draco and Socio, the best dogs in the world :)

Nothing! We had a great time!

Beautiful garden. Delicious breakfast. Spacious apartment with great view on the nature, e.g. watched several Tucans from our balcony. Friendly owner family.

We were not happy with our apartment. Furniture very old and worn out. Bad quality of kitchen equipment (especially tableware). Extremely thin walls, we heard every word the neighbours were saying. Cleanliness can be improved, e.g. carpet in the living room or the chaos surrounding the balcony. Pizza delivery that was promoted in the room was awful.

We loved the friendliness of the owners, our interaction with the various friendly dogs on the property specifically Draco! All the cabins felt cozy and reminded me fondly of the cabins I stayed in as a kid in the USA.

My entire trip was amazing there really wasn’t anything for me to complain about.

The location is really good!,and the facilities are very nice,the view from the cabin is exceptional. We had the chance to get to know the owners,such a nice couple.

The place is located 500m away from the main road,the road is pavement for a short tram,is not in a very bad shape,but if you are going in a car other than a SUV or similar just be careful, otherwise you could get some damage in rings, bumpers and other lower parts.

Gave us an upgraded cabin after long trip!

The privacy was good, and the location. I liked the nature around the room.

The entrance was a little difficult

Nice clean family run lodge perfect for a rafting trip. I had my brother and chihuahua with me. Everyone was impressed.
