Kirkconnel Hall Hotel

L'ambiance décalée qui est une très bonne entrée en matière pour l'Ecosse 😀 La disponibilité des hôtes, on se sent plus dans une guest house que dans un hôtel.

Propre mais un peu défraîchi

The staff were friendly, the building was unusual and characterful and this was noticeable in the details of the stay (eg. Staff telling us about the history, the decor in the dining room, reception and bar). The bathroom was squeaky clean, breakfast was nice and the room was comfortable.

The room would benefit from some updated decor but it was really comfortable.

Good location, very close to the M74 making it a good stop over point on our way home from a holiday in Skye. The decor was very eclectic and homely with lots of antiques and unusual objects. The continental breakfast was very good.

A couple of the figures on the staircase are offensive and not appropriate for today's attitude towards racism.

Quirky hotel. Good location next to A74 (M). Dinning room grand and regal. Good safe free parking. Continental breakfast included in price which was only £60 a night.

Rooms were a bit old-fashioned. Dated furniture and small tv . The beds were bit saggy. But it was a good base and a cheap price.
