Kirkconnel Hall Hotel

We also stayed at Kirkconnel Hall Hotel on the M6, just off the motorway. The location was very convenient for our trip to the Lake District. The rooms were very clean, and although the hotel is quite old, it has been nicely renovated and was impressively well-maintained. Both hosts were great and very helpful, and the breakfast waiter was friendly and attentive. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Breakfast. Excellent selection for a continental breakfast. Toast, croissants, tea and coffee, cereals, fruit, yogurts, and small selection of meats and cheeses (always pleases) The staff were excellent and they have a little dog called Tilly who was very happy for fusses.

Can't really say anything here. There were a few bugs in the room but it's summer so it's to be expected.

Lovely old house, all very clean, great grounds (including three horses we found at the bottom of the garden), breakfast was all very good, and comfortable room

Bit of noise from the motorway - but we were there on a really hot day so had to have the windows open. Plus it is really hand ti be so close to the motorway.
