David runs a very good hotel. He was very welcoming and helpful. My room was excellent with a comfortable bed, very effective aircon and ceiling fan. Good bathroom with reliable hot shower. Everything very clean and secure. TV with Euronews English language channel. Good WiFi. Nice shady upstairs terrace to sit on. Rented a bicycle at the hotel - 1500R per day. A bit pricey because it wasn't a great bike but it helped a lot getting around the ancient city. Hotel in great quiet location just a few minutes walk from the railway station and not far from the ticket office of the Anuradhapura dagobas. Good cheap restaurant on Main Street a few hundred meters away called the Family Bakehouse (head south on Main Street and it's on the other side of the road). Serves very good curries and rice as well as baked goods

Nothing much really. The bicycle was a bit small for me with an uncomfortable saddle.

The close location by the bus station and sights of the city.

I was only there for a short visit because was at the end of my travels. I wish I could of stayed longer because it was good accommodation,good owner & great area. Room was spacious & clean. He also took me on a city tour because has his own totos.

No food ie breakfast but does has a little shop with drinks.

Nice clean room and spacious shared balcony. David was very helpful with suggestions and also dropped us to the station in his Tuk Tuk. The property is situated close to the bus stand and the station.

The drain flooded so the bathroom floor was wet for the entirety of our stay.
