The whole experience was top notch, starting with a warm welcome, excellent facilities and a wonderful meal in the restaurant. The bedroom was also very thoughtfully decorated and comfortable, and we enjoyed an excellent night's sleep. All the staff were professional, attentive and knowledgeable wirth the menu and offered a friendly service second to none. The range of the courses in the meal we had were very well chosen and the cooking was at an elevated level, all very enjoyable indeed. We enjoyed one of the best meals and experiences we have ever had at the Hammer & Pincers - we look forward to returning in the future.

Clean and comfortable room with great amenities (e.g., Nespresso machine, wireless charger, great shower). Breakfast was fantastic - delicious and high quality food. Staff were all friendly and very efficient check in process. Will return if we are in the area again, and this time will book for dinner too.

The best breakfast I've had since staying in a beach hotel on Zanzibar 20 years ago. Lovely room, recently refurbished, above an excellent reastaurant. I was welcomed warmly and the hosts were friendly and helpful through my stay. The breakfast was absolutely top notch. Top quality ingredients and home made black pudding.

Because I was at an event all weekend, I did't get to eat an evening meal in the restaurant, which looked fantastic!

Lovely welcoming staff, room was spotlessly clean, everything (bedding, furniture etc ) of a very high standard. Good sized room and bathroom. Food in the restaurant was amazing. Thoroughly recommend.

Accommodation, people and food were all exceptional. Beautiful location, beautiful and spotlessly clean rooms, and every extra and room accessory you could wish for. Please make sure you book the breakfast, as I don't think you'll find better. A very special place!
