Hotel La Quinta del Sol

Comfortable and beautiful views!

We love so much about La Quinta so I’m sure we will leave something out but here is a small list: -Nico and Mary are dedicated to making your stay perfect, if you need anything you can always ask. They are a wealth of knowledge to help you find the best spots for surf, food, whatever you are looking for; -it’s clean, comfortable and safe, it can really feel like your home away; -if you’re a surfer, their surfboard garage is unbeatable; -it’s walking distance to everything you need, including the best churros. We are already planning our 7th trip…

I just returned from a 14 day stay at the wonderful Hotel La Quinta del Sol. I believe it was my 6th or 7th multi night stay over the last 3 years. I consider this place my home away from home thanks to its incredible location, wonderful service from all staff including managers Nico and Mary who run this place like a well oiled machine. Everything here is kept meticulously clean, Nico always has workers touching up paint wherever needed, tiles being polished you name it. The place looks charming and spotlessly clean on every visit, especially the magnificent rooftop deck that offers amazing 360 degree views of the beach, bay and village. Without a doubt, the best value combined with top notch rooms and amenities in Punta Mita! John

The view, the bed was clean, Location and host Nico was awesome super helpful! Answers the phone right away.

The room was dirty. The stove dishes and pots still had coffee & food and dirt inside them. Walls are dirty, The inside of the room is just warn down things are broken mc this room def needs some loving for sure as it does not look anything like the photos. I have more photos than I cant post here of the leaking water cooler, broken lamp with the cords being tapped together, to the rusty garbage can and dirty walls, hair on sink, the plastic pealing on fridge. Def don’t feel the price justified the level or cleanliness of accommodation.

The hosts were super helpful and laid back. 1 min walking distance to Stinky's surf spot which is a great longboard and beginner spot. The beach there is beautiful and fun to swim in and have some beers. The hotel has great tiles and a classic look. Much more appealing than other nearby hotels. Teresa's Tacos is just a few mins walk. My favorite taco spot in both Punta Mita and Sayulita.

Great location - we didn't need a car as all of the restaurants, bars, stores, and activities were within walking distance. We stayed in room 5 on the second floor, which offers a beautiful view of the ocean directly across the street and great for sitting on the balcony and watching the world go by. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating.

Not much to dislike about this place.

Staff were super kind and mellow.

For the price point, the room was small.

This hotel had exactly the chill vibe we were looking for when booking our trip to Mexico. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds very comfortable. The view to the sea is lovely, and there was always a nice breeze coming through. The outdoor lounging areas including the roof top deck were a nice surprise and we definitely made use of them! We loved that we could come and go any time with the rental surf boards from the convenient garage below. The little town has some fantastic restaurants and shops. If you love this part of Mexico but not the intensity of Sayulita or the plasticky resorts, this is for you! We would absolutely come back again!
