"Overpriced, disappointing and impersonal"

Good access to lake and lovely grounds.

We stayed in this hotel on our first day of marriage on the way to our honeymoon and left extremely disappointed. Paid for a lake view room which ultimately had a very obscured view due to grass mound in front of the windows. Hotel felt dated, room despite being a premium one was worn down and lacking in any character. Got a call from reception on our way and urged to book a table at their restaurant before they became fully booked. When we turned up it was almost empty, food was tasty but small portions and again overpriced. Breakfast was okay but again a very small portion and despite ordering a pot of tea twice it never came. Check in/out felt incredibly impersonal. Despite it being on the booking we had no congratulations or question about how our stay went. Left feeling deflated and robbed. Will not be coming back.

The location of the hotel on the shore of the Lake is fabulous! The dining area etc is lovely!!

I felt our room was a bit tired!! Not sure if this was because we booked through yours site rather than direct with Hotel! But the bed was comfortable and bathroom clean

The main attraction is location and the lake views. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The property is in need of an overhaul and investment. It has an old world charm.
