Silver Naga Hotel

It is ideal location to walk around during evening and night. Night market and restaurants are very walking distance

Furniture is old, breakfast menu is same for everyday

Pool is great. View of the nearby mountains a real pleasure. We were able to order a bus to Vientiane with pickup at the hotel at the reception, very convenient. Breakfast with fresh made eggs or omelet was very nice.

When we wanted happy hour cocktails, the bartender didn't show up for 5 or 10 minutes, then had to go somewhere outside the hotel to buy ice! Cocktails were ok but didn't have much alcohol. Room service forgot to clean our room. Cleaning not so essential but new toilet paper and bottles of water would have been nice. The long tail boats heading past morning and evening are pretty loud but the hotel can't do anything about that.

Awful news experience, we checked in at 16.30pm ( check in is from 2pm) to find our room not even cleaned or ready, told To wait for them to clean even though we have been travelling all day. They loved us to an upgrade and room with a bath that they originally wanted to charge us $30 a night for… yes I might have had a bath but no tap to fill it, the entire room looked old, dated and dirty. The bed linen looked almost yellow! The view was nice but that was all I’m afraid. Breakfast was all served cold they had heat lamps under each metal dish but nothing was on, even the rice, noodles etc they served was all stone cold. Overall this hotel from the pictures that they put online and make it look like it’s a palace it’s a very old, dirty and run down place and not great facilities. I would not visit again

Great location and the view of the mountains is stunning.

Our room was filthy and nothing like the photos, 2 star standard. The communal areas were also shabby. When we complained to the staff we were ignored.

Bugs in the room.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was nice. If you picked a riverside room you would probably enjoy your stay. Close to everything as it is opposite Walking Street.

The cheaper road side rooms, in which we stayed, were incredibly noisy with no closeable real door to the outside, but rather a mesh screen as a door. No balcony. It was quite worn out and missing expected room furniture or items.
