Having to say goodbye

This is a well groomed property with beautiful scented gardens by the beach in a secluded location. Very peaceful throughout. Nice long beach two feet away with plenty of space to relax. The only noise is the nearby hotel bar music but nothing that couldn't make you relax. It strikes how much white marble (Naxian marble) is around, giving it a luxurious touch. The common areas are just beautiful and in great condition (besides one odd cable coming down the pool). The pool sunbeds are very comfortable and all the wooden furniture is in perfect condition which is remarkable as you are just beside the beach (everything feels new). The room itself is big, white, very clean and comfortable. The AC is just perfect and not noisy at all, as well as the mini fridge. Very comfortable bed and sheets. A nice highlight is the nets in the windows, as such there were no bugs inside the room. I must even notice that besides some bees there weren't any bugs outside either besides the large garden. Cleaning staff very efficient and nice room cleaning schedule during guests breakfast or absence. Cleaning was really good throughout the property.

Overall a pleasant stay but some things felt short: - Receptionist. Strange english communication skills and overall a feeling of automatic "no" response to everything I enquired. It was not a good performance at all but always polite. - In the same way I felt the hotel too overpriced. Not replenishing cafe capsules in the room (only 4 capsules for 5 days) and paying for sunbeds in a desert beach with 300 plus euro tag a night is crazy. Honestly it would be preferable to just offer the sunbeds and not any plus service at the beach. There is always a staff member sitting there doing nothing and if someone wants a drink they could order by whatsapp for instance. - Bathroom amenities (Pandrosia) don't smell good (mostly the conditioner) and overall feel cheap. The shower geel even made me itchy more than once. They should consider brand replacement. - Bathroom. Kind of small with constant sewer /draining smell if the window is closed. - The pool seems beautiful and clean but there are lot of small debris floating around (concrete/sand material from the walls?). - Breakfast. Few options and repetitive. They should increase significantly the options, just one sweet and salty option is not acceptable. Sometimes it's even the same of previous day. The homemade yogurt and granola and fruit was always the highlight of the breakfast. The pies are not good. Overall there is much to improve in the food category. Probably hiring a chef is the solution. Didn't care to try dining there. There should also be a happy hour or something to appeal guest to try things at the bar.

Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. The location was perfect.... with Plaka Beach just steps away from us. The staff at the pool bar were attentive and sweet. Sofia at the front desk was always pleasant and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. No negatives.
