NLWe most liked that the owner is so passionate about his resort. He loved to show us around in his beautifull garden and everything in the resort is thought of and well functioning. The sister of the owner is an excellent cook and she makes a great Sri Lankan breakfast. Each day a bit different but always delicious and plentifull. Same holds for the optional dinner. Owner also has good deals and friendly and knowledgeable friends for excursions to the temples and Sigiriya and safari. We left to see other places but actually we didn't want to leave this little paradise.
No disappointments at this location. Only lower outside temperature would be nice, so we could have enjoyed balcony and garden even more.
USBeautiful, clean, spacious room. There are two very nice new buildings with two units each. The garden is lovely and we sat on the balcony and watched the birds. Breakfast was exceptional and plentiful & dinner was the best that we had in Sri Lanka, everything was fresh and flavorful. Kithmi is away from the main road so it is quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend Kithmi Resort, it is a true gem.

USThe wonderful Hemantha and his sweet sister were truly exceptional hosts. This area was the most authentic area we visited in Sri Lanka. We saw elephants strolling down the road, monkeys everywhere and the Buddhist temples were beautiful. We also had the kindest hosts here who made our stay exceptional. Breakfast was fantastic and we felt like family. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced kinder people than those in Sri Lanka. Hemantha went above and beyond and was exceptionally kind and accommodating. The level of service was just wonderful and I’m so glad we visited! Would totally come back!
USThe owner is very kind and ready to help us feel comfortable. The place is very peaceful but not too far from the ruins. The room is very clean and has a big balcony. The wifi worked great. When we told the owner we had to leave very early at 6.30 am., he packed a simple breakfast for us. Very good value
