Hotel Casona del Valle

Convenient to airport. Woman working at check-in was very pleasant. Hot water was hot. Pool was cold, but very nice.

It was dirty. There had obviously been a very 'surface' cleaning of the floor, and the linens were clean, but the room not merely looked dingy and grimy, there was actually grime and dirt in the corners and on the walls - and there were both ants and termites in the room. Inside the refrigerator and the shelving in the bathroom were extremely gross. (See attached photos.) The toilet clogged on the first use, there was no plunger, and there was officially no staff on duty after 8 pm. However, in fact I could find nobody at 6:30 pm when I wanted to get the wifi password. I'm pretty sure we were the only guests at the hotel - we saw and heard no other people and no other vehicles while we were there, yet they gave us this room? It makes me wonder about the rest of the place.

There is nothing to like.

The pace is old need of TLC . The unit that was issued to us had three large beds when we were only two. There ants and the beds and in the unit .

I would like to send a huge thanks to the nice and cute maui tattoo lady at the front desk in charge. We had to leave in the middle of the night for the airport and a perfect cereals organized breakfast was delivered to us with such attention to details. I loved that safety was a priority, locks, fence : we found our way to get into the Uber following useful recommendations from her. The gardener was so nice too, beautiful neighborhood houses and gardens, peaceful, ideal to rest before our trip back home. We heard sloth nails slowly walking over our roof, (too heavy to be an iguana) inground pool so nice, a.c. was working. Uber eats and Uber taxi found the place no problems. I will send the Casona del Valle a gift : one for the family luxe 3 beds in the room we had and one for the lady. Pura Vida from Canada xx

Bed sheets too small for the bed and black fingers on the wall and doors : no worries, gift is on the way =)

Worst hotel ever. They locked us out of the hotel, told us that they closed the doors at 12:00 am, but we arrived very tired at 9:40 pm, only to find everything closed, no one picked up the phone and the doorbell couldn’t be rung. Do not stay here.

Room was big & bathroom nice & breakfast was great

This place should not be listed It was clearly in complete disarray The pool area looked like a construction site Our room was dirty Our door didn’t lock The tv was wrapped in a garbage bag and liked like it might fall from the stand over the bed Dead bugs everywhere There was no staff to speak to because we came in after check in hours ( this was all discussed prior and not a problem if the room had not been in such a disastrous state) We Looked around Took pictures and left immediately because it felt both dirty and abandoned and we knew we would not be able to sleep We left at midnight and had to go to 3 hotels before we could find a place to sleep

Hotel staff member did her best to help us. Room is relatively large enough.

Go to city is easy from GPS driving, but return is very difficult on highways ramping up to local roads.

Nothing - we showed up to be told after numerous phone calls that they did not have any rooms and we’re not open

Our booking was confirmed by the owner the day before arrival, after a 4 hour drive we showed up to closed gates. A few phone calls later (thankfully our driver stayed with us and assisted) we were told booking was not available as she had no rooms and was closed. Terrible service, if we had taxi’s or arrived later in the night what would we have done. Had to pay a large amount to get a room down the street at a Hotel.
