La Couronne à Wissembourg

You think you will enter an old fashioned hotel. But the rooms are very well styled. Enough space and a exceptional bathroom.

To enter on Sunday you did have to phone. But the international entering number was not written on the paper on the door. Only the 06- number.

location in the middle of the town. excellent restaurant and plentiful tasty breakfast. room was also very well appointed and comfortable. view of burnt house opposite was “interesting “

Check in was rather brusque and it was not clear what to do with our car or were to park it. Steep staircase not easy for less able.

The lady who runs this place was pleasant and friendly and served us with a drink on our arrival which was on a day when the bar/restaurant was closed

The room was very small and needed updating, as the decor was old fashioned and tired looking. The noise from the street at all hours made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was disappointing and not worth the extra we had to pay for it.
