The location was lovely, as was the staff. Bed was actually comfortable

The shower trap was stinking of sewage, which in turn made the whole room stink. There is no soundproofing, and thankfully, I had earplugs with me. Breakfast was packaged croissant and 2 small boxes of breakfast cereal in your room. All the skirting boards looked to have been flood damaged. The bed was full of fine hair. I thankfully always have a giant t blanket in my car that I wrapped myself in. The towels were all thin and freyed.

Perfect little country location. Super friendly staff. The afternoon tea was smashing, tasty, fresh and hot.

The location was ideal for us as we were climbing down on the cliffs which were walkable from the property. The bedding was visibly clean but smelt of cigarettes. The room had been swept and sides cleaned.

Unfortunately the owner needs a little help. The wifi (doesn't work) and bar prices are dated 2022 so did staff leave then? The extensive menu was 3 choices that was verbally given to us so price was a surprise. Continental Breakfast for two day for us was 2 croissant, 4 boxes of cereal, 2 jam, 2 butter and a pint of milk. The fridge was very mouldy, the window was grimy, bathroom mouldy, toilet roll holder covered in rust and the room/bedding smelt strongly of cigarettes. The room did not look like the photos online. This once would of been nice but now shows signs of neglect. A good clean, new items that are rusty and dressing the bed with pillows as per photos would bring it back to life. Absolutely don't call the breakfast Continental. Just...some cereal provided will do. As you can see by my other reviews, I don't leave negative bad reviews, I have tried to contact booking.com to leave constructive comments but they have not contacted me back.
