The Andiron Seaside Inn & Cabins

Easy location - the Inn was 5 minutes from Mendocino village and 15 from Fort Bragg. This place has so much charm that you could never find in another lodging. We stayed in the Writer's cabin which was filled with antiques and memorabilia related to authors and books, including a typewriter. The decor was fun and comfortable - with unusual lamp, comfy chairs, and outdoor patio seating. But mostly the owners were so warm and friendly - be sure to come on the weekend for the outdoors cocktails - a chance to mingle with other guests, enjoy the company of the friendly goats, and sit around a cozy firepit. We happily helped to conserve water which is in short supply in this area.

No issues or negatives.

The location was great. Only a few miles from Mendocino. I loved the goats! The staff was so incredibly nice and hospitable. I would absolutely stay here again.

Wish I could have stayed longer.

We recently stayed at the Andiron w/ two friends of ours and had a lovely time. The rooms are full of character and fun, and Scott and Madeline just think of everything. They’ve made us feel at home w/ two of our dogs, and the area is just gorgeous. They serve up a great happy hour, and hanging w/ their goats is great. Totally recommend this place!

Highly recommend staying here. The cottages all have their own personality, cool decor and the vibe at the location is relaxing, firepits and hot tubs so comfy. Madeleine makes you feel so welcome. I think they have a dozen cottages so this place would be pretty perfect for a corporate executive team offsite - you can rent it all out if you plan in advance.

Not enuf heat for winter, oil heater in room does not warm room bathroom heater doesn’t work…and not enuf firewood to keep warm only one starter and two pieces of wood and it isn’t enuf to keep us warm. Had to buy extra wood

Fantastic cabin, huge grounds, lush, green, hilly! Quiet. Clean, interesting…we were in the writers’ cabin…fun for a retired teacher and a book lover….

Because it was raining, it would have made it easier to dry off dogs and wipe feet clean if the doorway had been covered. Even though there were eclectic furnishings that were innovative and wonderful, the many decorations left us with little space for our belongings. The bathroom was equally lacking in counter space, or hooks. Cabin six has a small parking problem.
