we liked the location with the river view

The rooms needed a bit of maintenance. The towels were old.

We were immediately blown away by the beauty and size of our room that had a balcony that overlooked the Ganges river. The location is unbelievable because it’s between the two pedestrian Bridges. The breakfast offered in the morning had everything for anyone’s tastes. All the other food at the restaurant was excellent and the service was excellent. We ate almost all our meals at that restaurant at the hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating for our menu requests and when we needed a taxi to get to the airport on our last day. I forgot to mention that the bed and the pillows are incredibly luxurious as well.

Location is just close to Ganges

Pretty much every thing is right about this property. Staff are welcoming and ready to help out with everything (including the important sights and how to go about it). Rooms and corridors are royal and has a great vibe with views of the mighty Ganges. Paramartha Mandir is directly opposite and Ganga Aarti can be seen directly from the room itself. Back door to the river makes it lot easier to take a holy dip and also to meditate in early mornings and late evenings (however between 9AM and 9PM, the ghat gets busy with hawkers and folks getting off of rafting). Breakfast (and evening snacks) was excellent.

Not all the staff in the adjoining restaurant is attentive. About 20% overpriced IMO.

The location and the decoration of the hotel is very appropriate to the location and its attractions
