Great location in Castro with trains and streetcars, and big supermarket close by. This hotel was very well priced and was at the standard advertised. It was completely functional, as clean as could be for an old property and very quiet and secure. The shared bathrooms were never a problem and I never had to wait for use. The staff were polite and always available to assist as needed.

No elevator in this property, but this is openly disclosed at booking. It is also fairly typical at this price level.

No hay ascensor en el lugar y las escaleras son incómodas. La calefacción en mi habitación no funcionaba y se sentía frío.

Friendly and efficient check in. Charming but older building. Updated bathroom was pleasant with plenty of hot water.

Old fashioned door locks and they were somewhat difficult to open. 3 story walk up, no elevator. Rooms are a little dingy, could use some paint.

It made me feel like when I lived in a dormitory during my college days on a tight budget. It has a unique retro character that I appreciated. Part of life is appreciating things for what it is. I felt thankful that I had a place to sleep and shower, unlike the homeless down the street who are less fortunate.
