University Club of San Francisco

Access to the exclusive private members' club. Very peaceful and quiet. Very clean room with luxury feel furnishings and coffee machine. Despite no safety deposit box in the rooms, concierge gave access to a front of house safe.

Breakfast was poor quality and largely unhealthy. No remote for the TV in the room. Constant rumble and ding ding from the Tram system. Sunday / Monday slightly soulless as so empty.

The location was great! A lot of street noise but what else would you expect in sf?

Love the original old school design. Lots of charm but modern enough to be comfortable.

Good area, cable car runs right in front, making it easy to travel around. It has nice view too

The staff were wonderful! Good value- the room was comfortable. The view from the 4th floor lounge was lovely, and very nice from the 3rd floor breakfast room.

Breakfast was skimpy if you weren't there at 7:30. Probably short-staffed. The Internet went out out last day, which was very inconvenient.

Nothing

We booked a room for 3 people and only received a room for 2 people. One people therefore had to sleep on the floor. There was no insight from the hotel and we were not offered an alternative. Just canceled the room, but it was already 10 p.m. so we couldn’t change the hotel. .. The WiFi didn‘t work either and when we wanted to have breakfast at 9:40 a.m. there was nothing there, not even a slice of bread… just jam and oranges. There wasn’t even hot water for tea and no one on site. This hotel is the worst hotel ever and I can only advise against booking here.

The balcony off the dining room has wonderful views of the city. The old library is also cool to explore.

Our bathroom was not cleaned very well. There was a "poop" stain on the toilet seat :(
