Hotel Posada el Arcangel

Friendly staff who kindly let us wait on the couches in the common area while our room was being cleaned as we had arrived early. Decent breakfast. Very centrally located, making exploring Antigua very easy on foot.

The size of the room was so small & as we had 2 large rucksacks (long-term travellers), we struggled to open our bags in the room. The room was located adjacent to the breakfast area & the entire accommodation wasn't well sound-proofed, so it was incredibly noisy. The shower wasn't great because if you wanted hot water you sacrificed on pressure & to have decent pressure you sacrificed the hot water. Lastly, they should state they're a hostel vs hotel, as our rooms weren't cleaned, towels not changed & bed not made during out stay.

Good location, the terrace, available drinking water, tea and coffee.

The room and the bathroom were uncomfortably small, there isn’t room to walk or hang anything up. I tried to move to a bigger room but one of the staff said the hotel was full and it was a lie. The rest of the employees were outstanding tho, very nice and caring people. Walls are so thin, there is no privacy. It’s very noisy when breakfast begins.

Las camas son comodísimas. El personal muy atento. Hay siempre disponible agua caliente y fría para recargar las botellas de agua, y también ofrecen café de cortesía durante todo el día.

El agua de la ducha estaba un poco fría. La habitación daba a un pasillo de circulación, con lo cual a la mañana había mucho ruido si algún grupo salía de excursión.

La ubicacion es genial, cerca de todo. El personal es muy amable y siempre a disposición, nos ayudaron con todo lo que necesitamos, desde traslados hasta reservas de tours.

La habitación y el baño son un tanto pequeñas. La cama y almohada no son de lo mejor. El desayuno esta rico pero lo sirven tarde, y no hay opción si salís a un tour más temprano, y sucede en todos los tours y salidas. Lo sirven demasiado tarde y es probable que te lo pierdas.
