Loch Rannoch Hotel and Spa

The restaurant food in the evening was very good. Also a good choice of wines - we like a dry French rosé and the Provence rosé was good.

We paid for breakfast for all three mornings but skipped two of them as it was so awful in the first morning. Nothing better than a Premier Inn or Travel Lodge. Horrible sliced bread, the hot food was all laid out and had been sitting there for a while, cheap sausage I couldn’t eat……… In a 4 star hotel, I would have expected to be about to order something such as poached eggs on toast or avocado on toast but there were no options. Very disappointing indeed. Also no gowns in the bedroom. Apparently we could have asked for them but there was nothing to suggest that! The pillows were foam so not very comfortable. The view from our superior room was just okay - maybe it’s because we booked with booking.com??!

Breakfast excellent. Nice and clean.

Shower toilet room vert tight. Evening meal poor service very slow no forks on table told 2 staff members of which neither rectified the problem sat with our meals waiting,,in the end we had to go Rob off another table. With another table we both had to wait ages to pay the bill.

Frühstück wie in einer Kantine. Öffnungszeiten für Frühstück +SPA erst ab 8 Uhr morgens. Furchtbare Anfahrt. Zum Hotel gehört wohl eine riesige Wohnanlage für Appartementgäste. Theoretischer Charme des Hotels sinkt auf 0. Kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Nachts tropfte die Regenrinne sehr laut am Fenster. Völlig überzogener Preis. Wie es besser geht?. Dann mal das Golf View Hotel in Nairn anschauen.

Great location, evening meal was lovely with big portions. Good selection of beer. Staff were great, spa was lovely although pool was pretty chilly!!

Heating in room could have been better, but minor issue
