The access to the lifts is fairly easy with a couple of minutes walking and the bus stop is right at the hotel if you feel too lazy to walk. We really liked the SPA right in the hotel: it provided much needed recovery after full day of skiing. The staff provided exceptional service: we had a little accident with our car already in Selva and they drove to us to pick us up and help.

Fantastic property. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Room was beautiful and we had a view of mountains. Staff was very nice and gave great advice and checked in.

It is a hilly town so be ready for walking uphill and downhill to restaurants and the stores. There is a bus but we were there offseason. We didn’t mind the hills and walking but I know some people might. We were happy with views and location for us.

The place feels very homey and location was perfect as it was quiet yet close to the shops as well. Renate and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and helpful, we were a large group but their service was top notch and it felt like a home away from home.

Very clean and spacious room. They also gave us a free room upgrade. They were very attentive making sure everything was fine. Wil definitely book here again and recommend this place to friends and family.

My recent stay in Selva di Val Gardena was a delightful experience. This accommodation offered a great balance of comfort and convenience. The room was cozy and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The accommodation offered a great value for the price, and I would definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Fabulous stay at Garni Sunela. Thank you Renate! This hotel is really well positioned in Selva with easy access to the town and then a whole host of activities within touching distance (with or without a car). Rooms are spacious and nice without major frills. Breakfast was really lovely and Renate (and family!) are on hand to help throughout with tips and help. This has a really lovely family feel and we did so much in the four days we stayed. This is a great base for anyone looking to explore the Val Gardena.

I've stayed at 5-star hotels that weren't as clean and neat as Garni Sunela's entire venue. We told the staff not to worry about making the room perfect every day, but they insisted it was house policy. There's a beautiful short hike behind the house, perfect for evening walks. The town is quite small, so everything is within walking distance (restaurants, supermarket, city center). Private underground and outdoor parking is available, with a bus station right in front. Would definitely come back here for a ski trip.

Nothing of major importance to me, but might be helpful for other people: If you're planning very early hikes, make sure you're self-sufficient, as the kitchen is closed overnight. If you plan on working remotely and are used to high-speed internet, be aware that the Wi-Fi is quite slow (remember, you're in the mountains). If you're not accustomed to the countryside, occasional whiffs from the nearby farms might put you off (this is applicable to all accommodations in the area).
