Hotel Horacio Quiroga

The pools - and especially the associated thermal water park/spa - were amazing. Unlike anything I've ever seen in any other part of the world. Really fun for the entire family. We all loved that part.

The food at the hotel was average at best. The breakfast was not good. One problem we had is that we reserved one of the 'cabins', and tried to confirm check-in of the cabins before our arrival (which involved an 8 hour drive from Montevideo) and rather than answer our questions, they avoided our communications... because when we arrived we were told that all of the cabins were out of service and that we'd been moved into the hotel. This was initially disappointing, but ultimately, it was a better fit so it all worked out in the end. I just wish they'd told us what was happening instead of waiting until we arrived.
