A real sense of history in this place (do the heritage walk of the hotel if you have time). The Raintree restaurant is wonderful.

Privacy Reception staffs Staffs at the lobby n main door Channa masala South Indian food too bland to my liking. No flavor too. It will suit westerners palette.

Mosquitoes in the room kept me awake whole night. Noticed not much variety at buffet breakfast table..Staffs too slow at The Verandah.

The location was central and the room was spacious with good crisp sheets. Housekeeping was very good and attentive and had the best customer service in the hotel. The doorman was very helpful in talking to my Uber drivers and mediating requests to them.

The check in was the most poor welcome as the girl was sick and coughing without hygiene awareness and didnt' even say hello back when i initiated the greeting. The check out process was so laboured and even for a simple request the front house lady couldn't understand it and had to do it three times and made me wait for about 15 minutes. the front desk had the worst attitude of any hotel i have stayed at. The wait for a drink at the restaurant was an hour for a very simple order.

The first room, the story one was not very good, small with no good view. No place to work. Hotel gave us a much better room the next day.

I had food poisoning from a menu item. and spent 6 days in my bed.
