Havelock Farms Resort

We had a really positive experience at Havelock Farms Resort. It’s located away from the village, which makes it feel relaxed, with a beautiful beach right in front. The sunrise there is lovely, and the sea is very beautiful. The bungalow was very charming: spacious room, comfortable, and the AC worked well. What I liked most is the overall vibe of the resort: lots of small bungalows surrounded by greenery, so it almost feels like staying in the middle of a forest. Breakfast was good, and the staff were genuinely kind and always helpful. There’s also a nearby seafood restaurant that was really good and reasonably priced. Scooters are available for rent at fair prices too, which made getting around easy. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it. Just to set expectations: this review is based on the location, the island vibe, and the (very fair) price you pay. It’s not a luxury 5-star hotel, but a genuine, clean, and charming place.

Since these are standalone bungalows, sound insulation isn’t perfect. You might hear some noise in the morning from other guests, or occasionally dogs at night (which is quite common on the island). If you’re sensitive to noise, bringing earplugs could be a good idea.

The reception staff were nice the whole time. Aside from that it was over priced compared to everywhere else around there. Thankfully we only booked for one night.

The room was not clean, there was a used ear bud in the bed and tissues on the floor. In the morning for breakfast, we specifically asked for a dish without the eggs, they brought the dish with eggs. Then we asked to changed it and they made a new dish and used the same toast from the first plate that still had egg juice on it. From an egg allergy level, hygiene level, attention to detail level and simple customer care level that is all a 0 out of 10.

The breakfast is good and . The location is nice. But the beach is bad (keep this in mind!): the water constantly recedes, and you can only swim from 11 AM to 2 PM. If you come at 5 PM, there simply won't be any water. You'll be walking ankle-deep in water for a kilometer, and still won't be able to swim. You need to stay on the other side of the island, where Radhanagar Beach is! But of course, hotels there are significantly more expensive. But it's worth it, believe me! There are virtually no good beaches nearby. It's a 20-minute walk to the city center in the heat along a big main road where rickshaws and cars race by (it's not comfortable).

Under no circumstances book a massage at the so-called 'SPA'! It's a complete farce. They do it in a dark, tiny, shabby room. The people doing the massage are not professionals. They don't know how to give a massage! The facial massage was rough. And they wiped my face with paper towels! I told the person three times not to touch my stomach (I have health issues), but he still pressed on my stomach! They don't ask about any health restrictions before the massage. They don't offer a choice of oil (even for an extra charge). The price is outrageous — 7,300 rupees for two people — in some other country, you could get a professional massage for that price, not this 'something.' The massage was done by a person who cleans the rooms and works behind the counter at the restaurant. A question for the hotel management: is this even acceptable?

L’ensemble du Personnel, tout particulièrement karthik,attentionné,souriant et efficace. Le petit déjeuner très très copieux et avec beaucoup de choix. L’emplacement dans une verdure très bien entretenue et très calme La chambre grande,confortable et très propre avec bouilloire et thé Grand lit et Literie confortable. Terrasse et petit salon d’exterieur. Location possible sur place de scooters électriques. Des petites attentions de bienvenue et de départ ( jus de fruits) Possibilité de restauration tout au long de la journée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour.

Everything. From the moment I walked into the property, I felt calm. It had so much greenery. The place is very well kept. The owner Adam was very lovely and accommodating. So is the staff. I’d like to mention Karthik for serving me breakfast with so much enthusiasm every day. It’s conveniently located with lots of restaurants nearby. I stayed for 6 nights, 7 days. I will miss this place.

Loved the location near the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Choice of restaurants within a few metres. Wifi worked well.
