Havelock Farms Resort

The location of the resort was excellent. The independent room with nice outside greenery was fascinating.

I have nothing to say in this regard. I liked everything.

Lot of greenery

The staff are the best thing about Havelock Farms resort. They try to make a lower-end place better by accommodating all requests as much as they can. But though they are all very sweet, they can only do so much -- they are a very young crew. Nobody there seems senior. They moved us to one of the better rooms on the right line of the property -- those are a vast improvement over the left, so if you're going to stay here, insist on those.

First, it's not a "farm." There's nothing "farm" about this place. The rooms are okok. Plastic doors that don't always fit the frame on the Left side rooms, not enough furniture inside, just poorly done structures, interiors and facilities. We had wood borers making a "sandy" mess near the bed. The Cafe food was pretty bad. Breakfast was included but we ended up going to Full moon cafe every day instead. The property is 100m from beach, but it's on the other side of the road, so nowhere near as pleasant as staying sea-side. We stayed once 10 years ago at Barefoot's dive center (about a 10 min walk from Havelock Farms) -- if I go back, I would rather stay there. Wifi barely worked. It's ok for the cost, but one needs to keep expectations pretty low -- the shabbiness is the first thing that hits you from the roadside!
