The houseboat is a rare place of serene beauty and paradise in a chaotic city. With amazing views from the rooftop and extremely helpful staff, a guest couldn't ask for anything more.

Well, I hardly know what to say. I read some of these reviews that said exceptional….. hummmm. NO…I do feel compelled to do a review because I read reviews before I stay somewhere. The best bedroom was in the front with the private small balcony on the downstairs deck. That being said, that bathroom has no shower-only a toilet and a bucket for water, with faucet by bucket. . Please remind them to turn on the hot water so you can take a “bucket bath”… There is no sink either. But you can use the one in the downstairs entrance. The bed is boards. There is ONE folded blanket under the “sheet” that is used for padding. Very hard, and the bed “sheets” have not been washed. Bring your own towel and toilet paper because there is none. Yes there’s a nice walkway along the river. For the money, it’s fine, as long as the lack of cleanliness doesn’t bother you. It might be better to spend a little bit more and stay on the lake. Yes the guy in charge can organize outings, but be very very clear on price and what is covered. I was told I was getting a nice vehicle and that’s why it cost more, to be sure that I would have a good experience because he has seen People have bad experiences . After being in the vehicle for six hours, my phone stopped charging and said it stopped because of excessive heat. I asked the driver if we could have the air-conditioning. He told me it would cost an extra 20% to turn it on.!!! I mean you have to laugh!!! The hustle is real.

Beautiful property with spotless, delightfully decorated, rooms & an amazing rooftop area looking down river at the mountains. The location was, for us, better than Dal lake as it was quieter, connected to a lovely riverside walking path, and yet right by the main market area and heart of the city. The owner is such a lovely man who genuinely cares about interacting with his guests and the property itself. A property passed down the generations always adds some real soul to the place. I really cannot recommend this place enough - it's perfect for chilling and doing nothing for a few days, or using as a base to explore all the awesome beauty the surrounding area has to offer!
