Cabañas Punta Placer

Loved our room right on the beach with easy access to swim, layout or explore the town of San Agustinillo. The room was comfortable and it was great falling asleep to the waves (just be aware that if you are a light sleeper it is not easy to tune out the ocean). The fans in the room offered a nice breeze and it was wonderful to be able to have an 'outdoor shower" indoors.

Breakfast was great, location fantastic. Staff attentive.

You couldn’t fault the location of this place, you fall out of bed onto the beach and the beach is beautiful. We watched sunsets and sunrises over the beach. Our room was foremost on the beach so we didn’t have far to walk, plenty of places that will rent you surf gear near by. Restaurants and bars a plenty.

Tricky this. The room was simple, it doesn’t have any glazed windows so you are open to the elements and mosquitos of which there are many. I loved hearing the ocean but I didn’t enjoy so much the fisherman and boat crews shouting to each other and starting up the engines early in the day. Free water is supplied. No coffee/tea making facilities which is a shame and no air con or fridge so you are limited in what you can do in the room. Bed is quite small and to avoid a complete savaging you have a mosquito net and a ceiling fan to try and keep you cool. The attached restaurant is ok, but pricey.

A beautiful location with stunning views right on the edge of the sea, where one can see both the sunrise and the sunset. I hope to return.

It was magical.. the view from the room was crazy, the staff were so friendly, especially Paco and Edwin .. the location of the hotel was really good as well. We didn’t feel we need an AC in the room, the fan was just perfect.. highly recommended ❤️

The beach in front of the room was just paradise

Adding a bar/restaurant/snacks at the hotel or at the beach would be a great improvement

We loved this property. I would have stayed longer if I could.

We were in room 8 which was on the upper level and had an uninterrupted view of the beach. Nothing better than going downstairs and taking a couple of steps and you’re on the sand. The place had a relaxed vibe and it was only a 15-minute stroll up and over the hill into Mazunte. Rooms were basic with large bathroom but if you enjoy sitting on your deck watching the ocean and then going to bed to the sound of the surf you should stay here. We didn’t want to leave
