Cabañas Punta Placer

Location is fantastic. Staff are so helpful and friendly. The place is so cute. Close to great restaurants and corner stores. Small fridge in the rooms so that was key for haveing a few drinks in the fridge.

This is a tough one to rate because the place is so cute and right on the beach. The staff are amazing and I guess the downfalls are maybe out of their control. Firstly, with no air-con in the rooms it is HOT! They do have fans but with the mosquito netting surrounding the beds the fans don't blow through it properly so we opted not to use the netting. Well, if you don't use the netting you get covered in bug bites. Actully, even with the netting you get eaten alive as my son used the netting and every morning he would wake up covered in bug bites. Every day in the early afternoon a boat would pull up on the shore right beside the resort and start slaughtering a load of sharks. Not kidding, one day my son counted over 30. It smells so gross everyday. We would be in laying under the beautiful palapas and see the boat pull up, 5 minutes later it reeked like fish guts for the rest of the afternoon. (and our room was right next to that side so the smell was in our room as well).

The location is awesome. Right on the beach (literally). From our cabana we would sit and watch the ocean it was beautiful. Each cabana has a little hammock which is super relaxing. The room didn’t have a AC, but had two fans. The evening temperature (in October) was very pleasant so it didn’t matter while sleeping. The staff is super nice and relaxed. Mazunte is a 15 minute walk and has a dozen restaurants to choose from.

The breakfast options were great. One day the chef was away, and the standard dropped. The location is superb - small bay, lovely surf, friendly fishing village. The photos don´t do it justice. I will come back again!!!! The staff , especially Jesus and Sandy were fantastic.

Only two things. The wifi reception is unreliable. One of my friends could not sleep because of the heat. I was ok, and my other friend was ok with the mosquito net and the fans (no AC). It would be fine in December and January because it is not so hot.

We came here for 3 nights and ended up extending it to 7 nights. The location couldn't have been better. Their restaurant is superb! Housekeeping upto the mark, infact quite impressive! The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you got all what you need. I'm an architect and I could tell the villas and rooms and the whole site planning is done in a very sustainable, and climate friendly way. Even in such a hot weather, we didn't feel the need for an air conditioner. It was always cool and breezy. The bathroom is so well designed and I really appreciate the architecture. All the rooms are sea facing so that's brilliant. The staff is very cool and easy. Thank you!

We would have really loved having a coffee maker (since we're early risers and love coffee first thing in the morning) and mini fridge in our room to store milk for our baby but they had provided a solution for it...so no big deal really.

The location is fantastic, and the staff very helpful and welcoming. The restaurant was very nice, and I enjoyed my mornings with an wonderful breakfast with view to the pacific. Gracious staff and amazing place.

It could be helpful with a larger safe to store laptop - but not a big deal. The staff was kind to store it for me.

The food was AMAZING !! The Staff were amazing !! Olivia was amazing on the front desk and was so helpful and friendly she went above and beyond, making our stay comfortable, helping us rent scooters! The whole team there was just wonderful, Hasus was an amazing server and made the best coffee, The cleaning ladies were so kind and did such a great job! The resort itself is stunning and right on the beach. Highly recommend and would stay there again 10/10

Wow - what an amazing place. I would highly recommend staying here. The location is exquisite (if you want on the beach quiet space) we LOVED it. Would highly recommend. You can get the bus to Mazunte or Zipolate for just 10 peso (taxi back is around 100-200) if you want a bit more choice but why would you..... the beach here is perfect and you are right on it. I noticed other guests said no hot water - we never had this problem, although they did mention if we did when we checked in just to let them know and they would sort it (so obviously read their reviews and react) The staff were amazing, food fantastic (try the sweet bread with avocado, bacon, cheese and egg for breakfast - amazing) and cocktails extremely moreish. The cleaners must watch you as I never saw then but our room was cleaned to an amazing standard every day. Thank you to all the staff - especially Olympia and Oesus (no idea on spelling) - it really was the perfect stay. We will be back next year it was that good xx

Nothing - whats not to love its right on the beach, food is great, drinks are great, staff are great.
