Beds not super comfortable

very spacious clean room. They provide booking for shuttle buses and tours. They provide laundry service, only $3 for 1 Kg. Nice balcony to sit in front of my private room and had a chat with the neighbours.

Though other people, who was using the hostel, commented that the communal kitchen had the best facility of the country, I expected a 'kitchenette' in my room. As Booking.com listed shared kitchen as well as kitchenette. Therefore, I expected the kitchenette would be in the private room. The room had beds for 5 people but quite empty. no wardrobe or chest of drawers, no fridge. At least, I would have liked a little fridge in my big room, since some inconsiderate hostellers put a big pot in the communal fridge and my little items were moved around. The communal kitchen got very messy, The water from the shower was not warm enough for me. Monteverde is on highland, get cold in the evening. Having not so warm shower was more of an endurance than refreshing.

The room was large, clean, with a huge awesome bathroom. The staff was very helpful.

After a week in Costa Rica and being in one of the worst accommodations I have ever stayed at, Cattleya really felt like home! Very comfortable rooms, big kitchen where you could prepare meals with everything you need, host that books for you all the tours you want and gives you any kind of information! There is parking for the cars and you could then walk to the centre. That’s it - just perfect!

No air con but fan kept me cool. Comfy bed, great wifi, clean, large shower, modern and new, very helpful staff who organised my tours at cheaper prices than internet and freely reasranged my dtay dates.They have an extensive list of tours they can arrange, often for the next day. Free black coffee anytime in Communal kitchen. Cooking and food prep facilities with fridge in Communal kitchen. Easy on site parking. Quiet, as is 10 min, safe, easy walk along pavements to Santa Elena. For the low price I paid I enjoyed my stay.

In cooler temperaturas there's no where to dry wet towels, no wardrobe in room, just shelves. Floor to ceiling windows give no privacy from passing guests on corridor as no net curtain, had to keep curtains closed during day. One block of rooms is 100 metres across the toad on a dirt track road, seperate from reception and kitchen.

Very clean, very nice host that is always responsive and gives you awesome travel tips. Nice common space with all that is needed.
