L’emplacement sur l’île

Amazing location on Isola Bella, right in the middle of it all, with water views from the room back across to Stresa. Easily walked the Isola Bella waterfront, visited the palace and gardens, extensive breakfast and dinner on a balcony overlooking the water. It was also easy to organise boat / ferry tours to other places on Lake Maggiore from the island ticket office.

Some entrance stairs to negotiate with luggage, but the staff were super helpful and stepped in to help. The floors are accessed via lift once inside the entrance.

Great central location on Isola Bella. Live like a local, and enjoy the highlights of Lake Maggiore at your own pace. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant out on the balcony was awesome.

It was all very good

Decadent boutique hotel perfect for weekends away and romantic trips, restaurant is terrific and the wait staff were so lovely and accomodating. The ferries are regular so trips to and fro the mainland are easy, if arriving by train walk down to stresa ferry terminal. After dark when the Palace tourists have left, the island is very quiet you feel like your the only one there. Well worth the effort.
