Good location, acceptable standard of services provided.

The room was close to the main road and there was constant noise.

The staff, breakfast (full meal with lots of options), history, and location. Loved the footpaths around the area.

The noise of the road work in the square and constant church bells, even through the night. The room was in the attic so it was hot but a fan was provided and the windows opened up.

The property is right in the middle of a historic village. It is very close to restaurants shopping in many historical features.

The facility was outstanding. The room was great and the service was superb. The staff was particularly great, particularly the waitress named Izzy.

Another guest had a really terrible cough with regular nose blowing through mealtimes in the restaurant it seemed to be someone who should have been self isolating. Complaints to staff were met with implausible rationales. A few days later my wife and I developed covid, had not been exposed to any other coughers or ill people. Was any one else staying there that week end ?

The location was great! We arrived by bus and The Stow Lodge was literally a 1 min walk. We arrived early and they were able to store our luggage until our room was ready.

This was honestly the sweetest and coziest hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything felt so warm, heartfelt, and atmospheric — like stepping into the pages of a book about English countryside life. The staff were incredibly polite, kind, and helpful, and made us feel truly welcome. I especially want to mention the delicious breakfasts with their beautiful presentation, and the lovely room with the fireplace, where it felt absolutely perfect to sit with a cup of tea. A truly charming and soulful place. I would be very happy to come back.
